It is made of high purity special alumina by sol-gel process. The abrasive has unique and sharp submicron structure through special design, and the average size of the grains is only 200-300 microns. A abrasive particle is composed of several submicron crystals. After the micro crystal is blunt in the process of use, it will fall off along the grain surface under the action of grinding force, and constantly expose new grinding edge, so that the abrasive particle is always in a sharp state, so it has good self sharpening property. The use temperature of general ceramic abrasives is between 920℃ and 980℃. while SGA has a special structure, which makes its use temperature reach 1250℃, so it has a wider range of application for binders.

Application
The abrasive tools made of SGA have the characteristics of strong cutting ability, high efficiency, small wear, long service life, non blocking and good shape retention. It can be widely used in tool steel, bearing steel, hard and ductile stainless steel, high-speed steel, heat-resistant alloy steel and other hard to wear materials, such as roller mill, end face mill, bearing mill, centerless mill, crankshaft mill, internal and external cylindrical grinding, gear grinding, cutting pieces and coated abrasives.
