It is produced by fusion of aluminum oxide and other auxiliary materials in electric arc furnace. It appears light blue color and multi-edged with good natural grain shape. The number of complete single crystals exceed 95%. Its compressive strength is more than 26N and toughness is 90.5%. Sharp , good brittleness and high toughness are the nature of blue monocrystalline alumina. Grinding wheel made of it has smooth grinding surface and is not easy to burn workpiece.
